How Will You Measure Your Life

 Hi guys

Here we are in the fourth week of the semester and I am happier everyday with my certificate choice. I really love learning about entrepreneurship and I am sure I am on the right path.

This week’s lesson we learned about how we can measure our lives. How can we be sure we achieve success? How we can make sure we are in the right career?

Success is something really hard to define. What is success and happiness for you? Maybe it is not the same for me. There are people that love math, others hate it. So, how can we know if someone is successful or not?

I had an important insight about it that I would like to share. I used to think that people achieve success when they achieve some financial level or one special goal of their lives. But honestly, we can achieve success every day. We don’t need to wait to enjoy our achievements they happen day by day.

Going back to the second question, I loved what Tom Keley taught about it. He said that we need to have three questions in mind when choosing our career:

1-    What are you good at?

2-    What are you born to do?

3-    What will people pay you to do?

Of course, it is not a one-day process. We need to know ourselves pretty well and be courageous to learn and try new things.

I loved the video telling the story of Sharon Mays. She translates what is the life of an entrepreneur. It is so hard to follow your dream and build a business. People will doubt you, you will find tons of rocks on the way, but the prize of following your heart with hard work will definitely come. She mastered it. What a strong woman.

The most dangerous challenge of this path is to win a battle within your own mind every day. When people doubt you, they don’t have the power to ruin your success, however, if you doubt yourself, that will cause you to fall. For me, the most important skill of an entrepreneur is to build a strong emotional intelligence.

Thank you for being with me in my journey. See you next week.
